Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Koupa collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal data when you use its barber-booking app and legal website.
1. Scope
This policy applies to customers, barbers, shop owners, and visitors to this website. By creating an account or using the service, you acknowledge this policy.
2. Data we process
Account and authentication data
We may process your email address, phone number, Google identity when you choose Google sign-in, email-confirmation status, sign-in method, permanent Customer or Barber role, and records of the legal-document versions you accepted.
Profile and business data
We process names, biographies, cities, neighborhoods, map links or coordinates, and shop details. Barber data also includes services, DZD prices, service durations, weekly schedules, breaks, date exceptions, and booking rules.
Booking and operational data
We process appointment times and statuses, cancellations and rescheduling, QR attendance, shop memberships, invitations and decisions, ratings, notifications, and operational activity involving shop-managed barber settings.
Technical data
We may process an Android push token, app environment, session and security information needed for authentication, and ordinary request logs received by the website host. This legal website does not use cookies or analytics tools.
3. Why we use data
- To create accounts, confirm email addresses, authenticate users, recover passwords, and protect sessions.
- To publish barber and shop profiles and show services, locations, and available booking times.
- To enforce booking rules and manage cancellation, rescheduling, attendance, completion, and absence.
- To send operational notifications about bookings, attendance, shops, and setting changes.
- To operate memberships, ratings, support, and deletion, and to prevent abuse and fraud.
- To comply with applicable obligations and preserve the integrity of operational records.
4. Information visible to other users
Barber and shop names, biographies, locations, services, prices, hours, and rating summaries may be public to app users. A customer's phone number is revealed to the barber after a booking is confirmed for service coordination. We do not publish account email addresses or sign-in credentials.
5. Service providers
- Supabase: authentication, hosted database, and server-side account and booking operations.
- Google: Google sign-in and Firebase Cloud Messaging notifications.
- Cloudflare: hosting, protecting, and delivering this public legal website.
- External map services: when you open a map link supplied by a barber or shop, the map provider's policy applies.
These providers may process information in other countries under their terms and safeguards. Koupa does not sell personal data and does not share it for third-party targeted advertising.
6. Retention
We retain data while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, protect users, and meet legitimate obligations. Account deletion removes authentication data, tokens, drafts, notifications, and some operational data, and anonymizes the public profile. Historical appointment, rating, and operational-integrity records may remain linked to an anonymized profile so prior records stay internally consistent.
7. Your choices and rights
You can review and correct certain profile data in the app, disable notification permission in Android settings, and delete your account from Profile. If you cannot sign in, follow the email method on the Account Deletion page. We may request reasonable information to verify account ownership before acting on an external request.
8. Security
We use authentication, encrypted connections, access controls, and database row-level rules designed to protect personal data. No electronic system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee protection against every possible risk.
9. Children
Koupa is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to use or book the service. A minor's use must be supervised by a responsible guardian and comply with applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child's data was submitted without appropriate authority.
10. Policy changes
We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. We will publish the revised version and effective date and may request renewed in-app acceptance when a change is material or required.
