Terms of Use
These Terms govern use of the Koupa barber-booking app. Creating an account or using the service means you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Koupa provides technology that helps customers discover barbers and shops and book appointments, and helps barbers manage services, schedules, and attendance. Koupa does not perform barber services, employ listed barbers, or guarantee the quality of a service performed by an independent user.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to accept these Terms or use the service under responsible guardian supervision. Provide accurate, current information, protect your password and sign-in method, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use.
During sign-up you select a permanent Customer or Barber role. It cannot be changed after profile creation. You may not impersonate another person or create an account to evade rules or cause harm.
3. Customer bookings
- A customer may have one active upcoming appointment at a time.
- An appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled using available controls. Rescheduling keeps the same barber.
- Customers should arrive at the agreed time. An appointment may become Absent if its time ends without confirmed attendance.
- QR scanning confirms attendance during the server-authorized window. A barber may undo an incorrect QR check-in to Booked.
- A customer may submit one one-to-five-star rating after a Completed appointment and edit it during the period offered by the app. Ratings must be honest and relevant.
4. Barber and shop accounts
Barbers are responsible for accurate names, phone numbers, locations, services, DZD prices, durations, hours, breaks, and exceptions. They must reasonably honor confirmed appointments and record attendance and service status accurately.
A barber may own one shop or join one shop under the membership rules. A shop owner may edit service and schedule settings for affiliated barbers within the displayed permissions, and changes appear in activity history. Leaving or deleting a shop may cancel related upcoming appointments and notify affected users.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in Algerian dinars. In the current service, customers pay at the shop. Koupa does not process payments or store payment-card details. Payment or service disputes are handled between the customer and barber or shop, without limiting mandatory legal rights.
6. Acceptable use
You may not make fraudulent bookings, harass others, collect user data without a legitimate service purpose, disrupt or bypass platform controls, publish unlawful or misleading information, impersonate others, or misuse a phone number disclosed for a confirmed appointment.
7. Public content and ratings
You give Koupa the permission needed to display information you choose to publish in a profile, shop, or rating to operate the service. You retain your rights in your content and remain responsible for it. We may restrict content that violates law or these Terms.
8. Notifications and third-party services
Koupa may send operational notifications about bookings, attendance, shops, and setting changes. You can control device notification permission, but disabling it may prevent important alerts. Some functions rely on Supabase, Google, Firebase, and external map links, whose terms apply to their services.
9. Restriction and deletion
We may restrict or suspend an account for harmful or unlawful activity or a material breach, subject to applicable law and available circumstances. You may delete your account in the app or through the Account Deletion page. Deletion cancels upcoming appointments and handles data as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and changes
We work to provide a stable service, but interruptions, errors, maintenance, and changes may occur. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service while taking reasonable steps to limit disruption. We do not guarantee a particular barber, time slot, or appointment outcome.
11. Warranty and liability limits
The platform is provided to the extent technically available. To the extent allowed by law, Koupa is not responsible for independent users' conduct, barber-service quality, or indirect loss caused by unavoidable interruption. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
12. Governing law and updates
These Terms are governed by the laws of Algeria. We may publish revised Terms when the service or law changes, identify the effective date, and request renewed acceptance when needed. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent allowed by law.
